OASIS de LUZ is centrally located at that geographically nose between the cities DENIA and CALPE in the Costa-Blanca region.
This region is very international, not only in summer during the summer holidays but around the year due to foreign residents living here partly or permanent. This has changed the region enormously during the last 20 years. The offer of restaurants became very international. Today you will find excellent Italian restaurants, French-, Austrian-, German-, English-, Scandinavian-, Greek-, Thai-, Indian- and many other countries restaurants. And this not only at the sea-side, but also 30 to 45 minutes ride in the back-land country-side…. in those so idyllic Spanish villages.
Finding those places is sometimes not so easy, because they don’t advertise and many of them don’t even have a web-site. Word of mouth advertising made them known.
In this region you will find a lot of first class cooks from central Europe who left their country to spend the rest of their life in Spain in a warmer climate. But they wouldn’t abandon their professional passion…. the cooking ….. and they fascinate the visitor over and over again.
There are those who cook only once a week a surprise menu for a limited number of guests, and there are those who have a beautiful FINCA and delight you with a 10 course menu for 5 hours in a beautiful garden and ambience. Others invite you to have an old-fashion BRUNCH in a beautiful lavender-garden with lovely pavilions and nicely arranged tables.
WINE and DINE at those restaurants you will not be surprised to hear at least 4 different languages at the tables around you. Just recently another restaurant in Altea just below the Cathedral a restaurant was awarded a MICHELIN STAR, and now you have to make a table-reservation a week ahead.

OASIS de LUZ is located central to all beaches and Marinas from DENIA to ALTEA. Denia Town is offering so much to see, it would take several months to visit a substantial part of it. A must see is the old yacht harbor with the old castle on that big rock in front of it. Here also the ferries leave to IBIZA and MALLORCA. The harbor has been nicely restyled with restaurants and coffee places next to the yachts. On the other side you’ll find the new yacht harbor with discos, restaurants and bars along the yacht moorings. Here you dive in to this special ambiance of holiday, leisure, luxury, VIP, etc. Next to this Marina direction south you’ll find several small sandy beaches with coffee places along the sea.
Taking the road north along the sea there you find for many kilometers many small and larger beaches ending into an endless long beach till Oliva the next town.
Driving south from Denia you come to JAVEA (XABIA) with an own yacht harbor and many little Beach-Bars along the water-front until the ARENAL-Beach (sandy beach) with its promenade and many restaurants and bars along the beach.
A must see is further south the CALA GRANADELLA, a small bay deep in the rocks with crystal clear water and colors like at the Caribbean sea.
The next village further south is MORAIRA, the most charming little village around directly at the sea side. South of MORAIRA you find many mostly rocky little bays and beaches. Further south along the sea you will find CALA FUSTERA, a cosy little beach – worthwhile to visit.
Further south just before hitting CALPE there is a tiny Marina (yacht harbor) with two restaurants laying very pictures’.
CALPE with its big rock and high buildings is very impressive. It has two large beaches divided by a big rock in the water. Here you will find the unique situation that depending on the wind direction you always have on beach with waves (onshore wind) while the other beach has flat calm water (offshore wind).
So at this geographical NOSE pointing towards IBIZA you will find everything you expect from a holyday sea side.
Oasis de Luz is located in the center of this geographical “nose” between the cities DENIA and CALPE, which is pointing towards IBIZA island. From high situated places you can see IBIZA when the weather provides a clear sight.
Within a short ride by car (20 – 30 minutes) you will reach all the beaches and Calas between Denia and Calpe and come back into the green and the tranquility….back into nature.
Driving along the coast from Denia to Calpe you’ll find many beaches and Calas, all with their individual charm and identity, with restaurants, bars, coffee-places and Chiringitos (beach-bars) directly at the sea-side. You will also find several Yacht-harbors (Marinas) with their special ambience.
Only 4 km away from OASIS de LUZ you will explore the first small charmed village of LLIBER and only 1 Km further the a bit larger village JALON (Xalo) with its famous RASTRO (flea-market) every Saturday. Within a radius of 10 km you will find several villages – like Alcalali, Parcent, Orba with historical sights and good restaurants with typical Spanish and also international kitchens. You can drive up the mountains and find a nice restaurant at 1.200 m altitude with a fantastic view. Within 45 minutes ride you will find inlands waterfalls, lakes, narrow Canyons and on the coast small Calas and very long beaches.
This “nose” has a special micro-climate – attested by the WHO -, and especially people with arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, asthma, atopic dermatitis will find relieve here and feel within short a lot better.
The hilly surroundings are a preferred training-area for cycling and mountain-biker. In 2019 the course of the famous “Vuelta de España” is passing through LLIBER – the village next to OASIS de LUZ.
It is a special corner of Spain….. and worth-while to explore…. So come and see us.
